Evidence for gastroprotective, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant potential of methanolic extract of Cordia dichotoma leaves on indomethacin and stress induced gastric lesions in Wistar rats.

•The methanolic extract of Cordia dichotoma (MECD) shown the presence of quercetin.•The MECD has shown significant anti-inflammatory potential (↓ TNF-α, ↓IL-6 and ↑ IL-10).•The MECD has shown significant anti-oxidant potential (↑ SOD, ↑ Catalase and ↓ MDA).•The MECD has shown significant gastro-protective activity in indomethacin and stress induced gastric ulceration models.
