Quadruplex gold immunochromatogaraphic assay for four families of antibiotic residues in milk

•A quadruplex gold immunochromatogaraphic assay for antibiotic residues was developed.•This assay can determine four families of antibiotic residues including 20 analytes in milk.•The limits of detection for these antibiotic residues were far below the maximum residue limits set by the European Union.•The complete assay time is less than 15 min.
