Molecular characterization and application of lipase from Bacillus sp. PU1 and investigation of structural changes based on pH and temperature using MD simulation

•Halotolerant lipase from estuarine isolate Bacillus sp. was cloned and overexpressed.•Recombinant lipase observed as highly alkaline, organic solvent tolerant enzyme.•Effect of pH and temperature on structural changes was confirmed with MD simulation.•Recombinant lipase possess antibiofilm activity.
