摘要

•A simple RPIPC-UV method for the analysis of sugar alcohols was developed.•Sugar alcohols on-line complexed with molybdate ion were detected at 247 nm.•Retention was increased by adding TBACl as an ion-pairing reagent.•The method successfully determined several C4-C6 sugar alcohols.•The method accurately measured sugar alcohols in consumer products.
