Relationship between serum uric acid and ischemic stroke in a large type 2 diabetes population in China: A cross-sectional study.

•The serum UA(SUA) levels were significantly higher in the participants with age≥60years than those with age<60years.•Elevated SUA levels were independently associated with a high probability of ischemic stroke in type 2 diabetes (<60years).•The relationship between the SUA levels and risk of stroke may be subject to a threshold effect.
