The positive effect of venlafaxine on central motor conduction.

•In this trial, eight healthy adult volunteers were randomly divided into placebo stage and venlafaxine stage.•The behavioral assessment, TST and conventional TMS examination for each hand were recorded in each stage.•The performance of index finger tapping in the venlafaxine stage was significantly increased.•The TST amplitude and area ratios in the venlafaxine stage were increased with significant differences.•Venlafaxine positively regulates central motor conduction in healthy adults.
