Health-promoting lifestyles and their related influences among nursing assistants in nursing homes in China.

•Total score of health-promoting lifestyles of China’s nursing assistants was at a medium level.•Nursing assistants in China performed best in interpersonal relations and worst in physical activity.•Effective predictors include gender, education, number of care recipients, and perceived health behavior self-efficacy.
