Secondary debulking surgery for para-aortic nodal recurrence in endometrial cancer requiring circumferential resection of the inferior vena cava.

•We present a surgical technique for cytoreduction of the para-aortic lymph nodes with involvement of the IVC.•The metastatic lymph nodes with involvement of the IVC are completely removed without encroaching on the tumor planes.•This surgical technique involving the circumferential resection of the IVC below the renal vein is feasible.
