Stability of motor bias in the domestic dog, Canis familiaris.

•Stability of paw use in dogs between 4 tasks and over time was explored.•Direction of paw use was not consistent between tasks.•Strength of paw use was not consistent between most of the tasks.•Direction and strength of paw use remained stable on a retest for all but one task.•It is questioned which test of motor bias is the most appropriate to use for dogs.
