Role of circulating mirna as potential biomarker for coronary artery disease.

Aim: microRNAs (miR) play an important role in pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases. These cell-free miRs prove to be an optimal biomarker owing to high stability and their presence in blood. Expression levels of circulating miRs are significantly altered in patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) in comparison to healthy individuals. The study aims to determine the expression of circulating miRs (miR-126, miR-92, miR-33, miR-145 & miR-155) in patients with CAD.
