Effects of Jasminum multiflorum leaf extract on rodent models of epilepsy, motor coordination and anxiety.

•Jasmine extract reduced epileptic spikes in a rat model of simple partial seizure.•The extract was not effective in a model of tonic-clonic seizure.•The extract affected motor coordination only at high concentrations.•The extract reduced rat anxiety during exploration of an elevated plus maze.•The observed effects of Jasmine were similar to those of diazepam.
