Continuous Activity Recognition Using Smart Watches.

With the significant rise in the number of senior citizens living independently, there is a considerable research focus in the wellness and care of this geriatric population. While monitoring these citizens by heavily instrumenting them with tech could possibly aid in better prediction and prevention of certain ailments, this type of setup interferes with the need of independent living. We therefore explore the possibilities of a ubiquitous and pervasive monitoring system using smart-watches to allow making useful inferences in the subject's activities of daily living (ADL).
