Selective catalytic reduction of NO with NH over Sb modified CeZrO catalyst

A series of novel Sb modified CeZrO catalysts were prepared by a homogeneous precipitation method and used for the selective catalytic reduction NO by NH (NH-SCR). The CeSbZrO catalyst exhibited high SCR activity and SO/HO resistance. The characterization results showed that the addition of Sb into the CeZrO catalyst inhibited the growth of CeO crystallite size, enlarged the surface area and pore volume, increased the acidity and enhanced the redox ability, intensified the NH and NO adsorption capability and improved Ce/Ce molar ratio on the catalyst surface, all of which were responsible for achieving the high NH-SCR activity.
