Cyberbullying impacts on victims’ satisfaction with information and communication technologies: The role of Perceived Cyberbullying Severity

•A survey-based study was conducted with victims of cyberbullying on Facebook.•Perceived cyberbullying severity (PCS) measured victims’ appraisal of cyberbullying.•The effect of PCS on victims’ experience with technology was explored.•PCS altered victims’ beliefs about the technology involved in cyberbullying.•Satisfaction with the technology involved in cyberbullying was ultimately affected.
