Abstract
•This study compared the effect of a multicomponent intervention (MCI) with care as usual in a group of adult patients with epilepsy•The MCI did not significantly improve self-efficacy. However, some domains of disease-specific quality of life improved significantly•AED side-effects decreased in the intervention group•The MCI has the potential to increase patients’ health status and hence it is recommended to further explore MCI in a clinical setting
