痹症细分为五类,即为“五痹”.吴中朝教授在经络、脏腑辨证的基础上,提出了取“府输”下合穴五痹刺的火针特色针刺方法.临证强调火针活用取“府输”下合穴治疗痹症,并创立了独特的治痹取“府输”下合穴“五动”法,即“动针”“动经”“动揣”“动肢”“动深”,指出火针治痹取“府输”下合穴五痹刺,即皮痹刺上巨虚、肉痹刺足三里、筋痹刺阳陵泉、骨痹刺委中、脉痹刺下巨虚.
