摘要
Accessibility enhances software applications by promoting e-inclusion through tools that allow the profiling of users with disabilities. Our research aims to develop an ontology that involves the Accessibility domain. This paper describes the design and implementation of the proposed ontology. We apply the NeOn methodology, by reusing and reengineering the AEGIS/ACCESSIBLE ontology, in order to allow making recommendations based on the profile and capabilities of user models with disabilities. This enables the proposed ontology to provide suitable support assistance according to each user action, especially when users interact with any software application. Moreover, it allows identification of activity limitations for each user profile in day-to-day life, among others. Furthermore, the Accessibility ontology is designed to support inference processes, and to provide adequate answers to several Competency Questions (CQs).
