A four-antenna baseband multipath emulator for millimeter-wave channels

摘要
This paper presents a four-channel baseband channel emulator for multi-antenna millimeter-wave system characterization. The emulator is fabricated in 65 nm CMOS and occupies 1.45 mm × 1.2 mm. It comprises an array of four semidigital FIR filters each with 40 complex-valued taps (or 80 real coefficients). The emulator supports upto 2Gb/s QPSK, with 6bit resolution in each coefficient and a maximum power consumption of 279 mW.
