Wavelet coherence analysis: A new approach to distinguish organic and functional tremor types.

•In this pilot study, wavelet coherence analysis was used to discriminate between four tremor types.•Wavelet coherence analysis proved to be superior to standard coherence analysis in this study.•A simple decision tree may aid in discriminating between functional and organic tremor.
