The effect of tranexamic acid to reduce blood loss and transfusion on off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery: A systematic review and cumulative meta-analysis

•Tranexamic acid reduces 24-hour blood loss and the risk of exposure to allogenic blood transfusion in OPCAB surgery.•There was no evidence that tranexamic acid increases the risk of postoperative mortality and thrombotic complications.•Current evidence lacks high quality randomized studies.
