Abstract
•24-hours mortality after adult cadaveric liver transplantation was 1.3%•Hemorrhage, primary graft failure, and ICPTE were the most significant contributors to 24 h postoperative death.•Prior pulmonary embolism emerged as most important independent risk factors of a devastating perioperative ICPTE.•Portal vein thrombosis, lowfunctional status, ventilator support, DM, and Asian also emerged as independent risk factors.
