Establishing a regional paediatric registry improved the overview and detection of side effects in children on anticoagulants.

The use of oral anticoagulants is rarer in children than adults, but studies indicate that their paediatric use is increasing (1). Warfarin has been used in children, at the discretion of the treating physician, but both the number of children and the data on its use are limited (2).
