Comparison of regadenoson and nitroprusside to adenosine for measurement of fractional flow reserve: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

•This meta-analysis pools data comparing the use of IV regadenoson or IC nitroprusside with IV adenosine during FFR.•No difference was noted in the mean FFR derived from IV regadenoson or IC nitroprusside compared to IV adenosine.•There was a lower incidence of side effects with IV regadenoson and IC nitroprusside, compared to IV adenosine.•Both agents can be considered as alternative agents to IV adenosine for FFR measurement and deserve further study.
