摘要
Experimental demonstration of a low-complexity on-off keying (OOK) transceiver for indoor visible light communication (VLC) system using a commercial white illumination light-emitting diodes (LED) module is undertaken based on advanced RISC machines (ARMs). In the transmitter, a boost circuit and a microprocessor (STM32) are used for LED driving and OOK signal generation, whilst in the receiver a high-sensitivity photoelectric circuit and ARM are applied for signal detection and recovery. The influence of the interference from the sunshine and fluorescent light on the VLC transmission performance is discussed. It is shown that real-time 200kbps OOK transmission is successfully demonstrated over 7 meters VLC links with strong ambient light interference from the fluorescent light in the room and the sun light through the window. In addition, the transmission performance is shown to be robust to the rotation angle of the receiver in the range of less than 80 degrees at a distance of 6 meters for a bit-error ratio of below 10(-3).
