Abstract
This paper presents a compact Dual-polarized multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with two band-rejection for UWB applications. The antenna consists of two quasi-self-complementary (QSC) radiating elements, which make the antenna obtain high isolation without an additional decoupling structure. The elements are fed with microstrip lines and placed perpendicularly to obtain polarization diversity. Notched band at WiMAX system can be realized by etching a quarter-wavelength bent slot in each of the radiating elements. Notched band at WTAN system can be obtained by using a half-wavelength slot embedding in the ground and a quarter-wavelength slot embedding in the radiating element The proposed antenna with a total size of 35 × 35mm2 has been fabricated and measured. The results show the impedance bandwidth with 10dB return loss ranging from 2.3 to 12 GHz, and two rejected bands which cover 3.3 to 4 GHz and 5.1 to 6 GHz.
