Joint Parameter Estimation in the QTL Mapping of Ordinal Traits.

•The multiple-interval mapping method is considered in the genetic mapping of ordinal traits.•All model parameters including QTL positions, QTL effects and threshold parameters can be simultaneously estimated by the proposed method.•By comparing, the proposed method has apparent advantages.•The proposed method was successfully used to analyze a real example.
