Abstract
•An indirect ELISA for surveillance of West Nile virus in wild birds was developed.•Serum samples were tested using ELISA and Virus Neutralization Test (VNT) in parallel.•Tests accuracy was evaluated using different Bayesian two latent class models.•A cut-off making ELISA accuracy comparable to VNT accuracy was found.•Accuracy estimation of an indirect ELISA for the detection of West Nile Virus antibodies in wild birds using a latent class model.
