A Novel And Efficient Synthesis Approach On Antenna Radiation Pattern For Conformal Array

In this paper, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) method is applied to optimize the antenna radiation pattern of conformal array. In order to prevent PSO method from getting stuck at a local optimum, we improve the traditional PSO method by using inertia weight factor. The amplitude of each antenna element could be obtained by the proposed PSO method efficiently. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this method, the circular conformal antenna array is considered. And the antenna radiation pattern optimized by PSO method is compared with that of HFSS.
