Abstract
Atopic dermatitis (AD), is a chronic, inflammatory disease with a worldwide prevalence of 10 to 20% (1). Although topical corticosteroids (TCS) are known to be efficient and safe for the treatment of AD (2), there is a widespread fear about their use (topical corticosteroid phobia (TCSP)) in 40 to 73% of patients (3,4). TCSP represents the main cause of treatment failure. Until now, TCSP has been evaluated with a single binary question which is not adapted for this complex phenomenon.
