Abstract
This presentation reports on Writing Commons, an open-education resource for writing in science, technology, engineering, and math. Widely adopted and used by institutions such as Duke University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Ohio State University, Writing Commons exemplifies the power of peer production and authorship in the digital age. Additionally, Writing Commons is available to an international audience of readers from a variety of fields. The speakers will address the networking, educational, professional, and internship possibilities that are available through Writing Commons, its subsite, My Campus, and its associated textbooks that were developed for the University of South Florida's Professional Writing, Rhetoric, and Technology degree program.
