Interoperability In A Multiple-Provider Telecommunications Environment
ENTERPRISE DISTRIBUTED OBJECT COMPUTING - PROCEEDINGS SECOND INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP(1998)
Abstract
The telecommunications market is becoming increasingly complex, with a rapidly increasing number of providers offering a range of new service types. It is essential that there is interoperability between different providers so that services can be delivered in a managed way, to the benefit of both providers and consumers. This paper describes prototype implementation experiments carried out ina European collaborative project (EURESCOM P715), validating and assessing the utility of TINA (Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture) Reference Point specifications for achieving service-level interoperability in a multiple-provider environment.
