Improving health care workers' protection against infection of Ebola hemorrhagic fever through video surveillance

•Supervision is able to reduce error rates of taking off personal protective equipment.•Enhance the supervision in the first 2 weeks for the high error rates when the health care workers took off PPE.•We found that additional attention is needed on operation procedures of the first strip room.•The process of supervision can achieve the effect of constant retraining.
