Increased cardiovascular risks associated with familial inbreeding: a population-based study of adolescent cohort.

•We observed a strong effect of familial inbreeding on cardiovascular risks.•The homozygosity of the genes due to inbreeding usually leads to the depression on physical traits; whereas, the reverse effect on major physiological traits (SBP, DBP, and FBG) showing inflations in their abnormal levels.•The magnitude of risks for the cardiovascular diseases was found to be high among the subjects with increasing values of coefficient of inbreeding.
