C0368 A feverish lumbago at a patient with a Behçet's disease in remission: Think of the thrombosis of the renal vein

and antiphospholipid syndrome with VTE in multiple sites (n=1). During a median evaluation period of 6 years, the outcome was complete recovery for 9 children and 4 neonates, both chronic portal hypertension and esophageal varices in 2 children with portal VTE and moderateor severe (n=1) renal failure in 5/9 neonates. Comment: Long term studies might be worthwhile to clarify the impact of treatment for reducing the morbidity associated with these severe VTEs in pediatric patients.
