Abstract
new fatty acid, (11 S ,12 S ,13 R )-11,13-dihydroxy-12-methyltetradecanoic acid ( 1 ), along with three known metabolites, cyclo-( S -Pro- R -Leu) ( 2 ), 3,4-dihydro-3,4,8-trihydroxy(2 H )naphthalenone ( 3 ), and 4-hydroxybenzeneethanol ( 4 ), were isolated from the endolichenic fungus Massarina sp. Their structures were determined unequivocally by physical and spectral data.
