A total of 12 taxa were identified: Boodlea composita (Harv.) F.Brand, Chaetomorpha aerea (Dillwyn) Kutz., Chaetomorpha brachygona Harv., Chaetomorpha ligustica (Kutz.) Kutz., Chaetomorpha vieillardii (Kutz.) M.J.Wynne, Cladophora brasiliana G.Martens, Cladophora laetevirens (Dillwyn) Kutz., Cladophora socialis Kutz., Cladophoropsis membranacea (Bang ex C.Agardh) Borgesen, Dictyosphaeria versluysii Weber Bosse, Rhizoclonium africanum Kutz., and Rhizoclonium riparium (Roth) Harv.
