摘要
as controls. There were no significant differences in the demographics and colonoscopy quality indicators such as bowel prep and cecal intubation rates amongst the study group. There was a significantly higher Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR) in the HDW group 29.2% in comparison to SC group 23.1% (p 0.05). There were a higher proportion of left sided lesions in HDW group 40.5% in comparison to SC group 34.3% but the differences were not significant. There also was a higher advanced adenoma detection rate (AaDR) in HDW group 17.3% vs. SC group 10.5% (p 0.01). No colonic segmental distribution differences were seen amongst groups. Conclusions: HDW colonoscopes appear to improve outcome of colonoscopy with improved ADR and AaDR in clinical practice. Widespread use of HDW technology may result in improving the benefit of colonoscopy in colorectal cancer prevention.
