Endoscopic Management of Complications After Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy for Morbid Obesity: Experience From 19 Consecutive Patients

Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) has recently been developed as a therapeutic option in patients with morbid obesity. Despite clinical advantages such as weight loss continuing up to 5 years and absence of intestinal rerouting, complications occur in 3 to 7%, including leakage from the gastric sewing and dysphagia. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the outcome of an endoscopic treatment of LSG by insertion of a covered self expandable metal stent (cSEMS).
