Abstract
We previously demonstrated the usefulness of nasal ESD in the pyloric ring (Gastric Cancer.2011;14), and as a result we demonstrated the usefulness of nasal ESD via a transnasal route for early pharyngeal cancer (Endoscopy.2013;45(S02)). In this study, we believed that the same treatment could also be possible in the esophagus, which is presently considered to be difficult to treat with ESD because the narrow lumen makes passage of the device difficult. Thus, we performed ESD for early esophageal cancer using a Nanoshooter (NS )(Top) with water jet and suction functions as the necessary hood attachment for transnasal endoscopic ESD and an EG-580NW2 (FUJINON), which is a new therapeutic transnasal (TN) endoscope with a 2.4mm forceps hole that is much larger than the usual size of 2.0mm.
