Abstract
The appropriate number of colonoscopies completed by trainees to achieve competence has been a recent subject of debate. However, the rate at which individual trainees achieve competence is unknown, but likely varies among trainees. If the rate at which a trainee develops competence is tracked and known, gastroenterology fellowship programs can be tailored to individual fellows' needs. Aim: To assess for differences in individual gastroenterology fellows' rates of achieving competence using a novel assessment tool.
