A Novel Predict, Resect And Discard Strategy (Prds) For Colonoscopic Polipectomy Based Only On Size May Be Effective And Cost Saving In Average Risk Patients (Pt).

A number of studies have provided strong evidence supporting the use of the PRDS to differentiate non neoplastic and neoplastic/high risk polyps (HRP). This strategy, based on modern technologies, may avoid histological examination of low risk polyps, reducing pathology requirements and related costs. The applicability of this PRDS has been questioned, as it may significantly increase colonoscopy time, and the technology and experience required is not always available. Easier and accurate criteria to identify those HRP would be desirable.
