Abstract
Enbloc resection of colorectal flat polyps and adenomas has been advocated in order to minimize risk of recurrence and also to provide optimum specimens for histopathology. En bloc resection often involves technically challenging procedures like endoscopic sub mucosal dissection (ESD). Not all lesions are amenable to ESD, some often may require an endoscopic piecemeal resection (EPMR), a less optimum procedure that may pose a risk of local recurrence. This study analyzes the factors that predict successful completion of an ESD procedure in the colorectum.
