Abstract
Solid-pseudopapillary neoplasms of the pancreas (SPNs) are rare, low-grade malignant tumors which have been reported predominantly to occur in young female and usually to have cystic component caused by hemorrhage or necrosis. Neuroendocrine neoplasms of the pancreas (NENs) have similar gross findings with SPNs, including fibrous capsule or cystic component. Contrast-enhanced CT (CECT) is considered useful to differentiate these two pathologies assessing the vascularity and we sometimes encounter hypovascular NENs difficult to diagnose using CECT.
