Establishment of a GMP-compliant mesenchymal stromal cell bank from pooled bone marrow mononuclear cells of eight “third-party” healthy donors: clinical evidence of safety and efficacy
Cytotherapy(2015)
Abstract
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) represent a heterogeneous cell population concerning their proliferative, differentiation and allosuppressive potential, which is donor-dependent and may lead to inconsistent clinical data. To circumvent the inter-donor variability, we established a GMP-compliant, serum-free MSC-bank from pooled bone marrow mononuclear cells (BM-MNCs) of 8 healthy donors.
