Abstract
•We identified a pair of giant local interneurons in Drosophila Pupae.•The morphology and electrophysiology were distinctive from ipsilateral LNs/PNs.•GLNs could modulate the oscillatory synchronization of antennal lobe.•GLN may serve as a “modulator” in the olfactory circuit before eclosion.
