Abstract
In this work, high dense single phase ceramics of the multiferroic solid solution 0.3BiFeO(3) - 0.7BaTiO(3) were prepared by spark plasma sintering. The structural, microstructural, multiferroic and piezoelectric properties were investigated. The obtained samples showed good magnetic and ferroelectric properties, P-r = 8.3 mu C/cm(2) and M-r = 0.03 emu/g, with low dielectric AC losses below the ferroelectric transition temperature. The obtained piezoelectric coefficients were determined as d(31) = -8.1 pm/V and d(33) = 13.5 pm/V.
