摘要
Proper hand hygiene prevents the transmission of infection. Hospitals measure, set goals, and employ strategies to improve hand hygiene as a quality monitor. Systems that rapidly assess and immediately report results are more useful to improve performance than systems that have a long delay between performance assessment and reporting. We designed and implemented a web-based computer program that allows viewers to see aggregate hand hygiene performance data as soon as it is entered into the program, allowing for daily tracking of performance.
