Effect of Chronic Compound Psychological Stress in Male and Female Rats

Objective To compare the difference of weight,behavior,neuroendocrine,TNF-α,IL-1,IL-2 between males and females under chronic compound psychological stress.Methods 12 SD rat were Divided into two groups: 6 males and 6 females.Using chronic compound psychological stress ethological changes were observed.The contents of cortisol,IL-1,IL-2,TNF-α in serum of rats were also detected.Results Compared with females,the weight of males significantly increased(P0.05).The serum IL-2 and TNF-α in male rats were lowere those in female rats(P0.05).Conclusion Gender has a certain effct on weight,TNF-α and IL-2 of rats under chronic compound psychological stress.
