A STUDY OF BOUNCE-OFF EFFECT IN 1.1 AGeV139La + Ag(Br) COLLISION

From a sample of 896 La + Emulsion interactions, 128 events have been selected for the study of the bounce-off phenomenon. These events correspond to non-central and non-peripheral mode of La + Ag(Br) collision. The back to back correlation in azimuthal plane shows strength of the effect in between the Kr-84 + Ag(Br) and U-238 + Ag(Br) collisions. It is further revealed that the projectile fragments (Z greater-than-or-equal-to 3) and alphas (Z = 2) show the same strength of bounce-off but their emission characteristics are different. This may throw light on the equilibration of two different zones during flow after the collective stage of bounce-off.
