Abstract
Vortices in the Abelian Chern-Simons-Higgs model (CSH) are anyons, in agreement with expectations on general ground. If the CSH is considered as a low energy effective theory of charged anyons, the vortices then have the same electric charge and dual spin and statistics as the original anyons.
